Peacham man missing

UPDATE: Police say Robert Bender was located safe.

PEACHAM — Authorities are trying to locate a 47-year-old man from Peacham who has been reported missing.

At around 8:30 a.m. police responded to a request for a welfare check on Lanesboro Road.

At after an attempt to locate Robert Bender, police say he is considered a missing person and there are concerns for his welfare.

The incident is not being treated as suspicious at this time.

Bender was last seen wearing a black baseball cap, black t-shirt with a green skull, and gray basketball shorts.

Bender may also be operating an orange 2017 Toyota Tacoma bearing Vermont registration 282A401.

Anyone with information regarding Bender’s location is being asked to contact Trooper Jason Danielsen at 802-748-3111.

Early morning rollover crash in Peacham ends in DUI arrest

PEACHAM — An early morning rollover crash in Peacham ended with a 25-year-old man facing DUI charges.

Police were dispatched to a single-vehicle rollover crash on Macks Mountain Road in the town of Peacham, at around 12:30 a.m. Wednesday morning.

Police say they spoke with the driver, identified as Patrick Salisbury, 25, of McIndoe Falls, who advised he was traveling south at approximately 45 miles-per-hour when his vehicle lost traction on the gravel road surface, went off the west shoulder of the roadway and overturned.

Salisbury told police he was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash and was not injured.

Police say Salisbury provided a preliminary sample of his breath which revealed a Breath Alcohol Concentration of .095 percent.

He was taken into custody and processed for DUI and issued a citation to appear in Caledonia Criminal Court on August 29, 2016.

Members from the Peacham Fire Department assisted at the scene.
